I attempted to make a carbonara sauce. The recipe called for three eggs at room temp mixed with cheese and water that remained from draining the noodles. I mixed it all together, put it on the pasta, and then thought "WTF? Those eggs are raw!" so, do the eggs cook enough between the pasta water and the hot noodles? Or is this basically eating raw eggs mixed with cheese? FML

Yes, I believe you use raw eggs and mix it with the hot noodles. It cooks it through.
