So I was removing my toenail polish while sitting on the couch. And, of course I knocked the polish remover over on my coffee table. AGH!! I was freaking out but managed to calm down and google it. I found one suggestion that seemed weird but it actually worked!
It said to find a plain white cloth (I had to use white shorts!), and to heat your iron on high. Then place the cloth on the table and move the hot, dry iron around in circles over the fabric for one minute. Then check the spot, and continue until it is gone.
There is still a faint outline of the spill, but unless you are right up next to it you can't tell! The white nasty spot is gone! Thank God because I didn't want to have to explain that one to DH! So I guess my FFFC is that I won't be mentioning at all to him!
Re: PSA if you ever do the same dumb thing I just did!
oh boy! good to know. I always do my nails in the bathroom because my mom once knocked a bottle of nail polish over on the carpet. She couldn't get it out, so she decided to rearrange the furniture to hide the spot from my dad... he ended up finding it a few months later when getting surround sound speakers wired.
I'm such a klutz, so I can totally see myself doing that!
