sister name for Hadley

hello there bumpies....I am new here.

I have a 10 month old daughter named Hadley and hubby and I are hoping to ttc #2 soon. I love names and can't help but think of names for Hadley's future siblings.

When pregnant with her our top two choices were Hadley or Presley.....Presley has always been favorite of mine. Yes, I do like Elvis but mostly I like it because I think of my dh's granny who also loves Elvis and my late grandma who took me to graceland. Also, there was a street named Presley near the apartments we both lived in off campus at the college where we attended and met.

If we ever have another girl....this of course is my top pick...dh is a little hesitant because of the similar ending but recently he said he may let me use it because he knows how much i like it.

I am also somewhat hesitant because of the similar ending but I love it so much and it has a lot of meaning to me.

What do you all think of the name Presley for a sister to Hadley????

Could I use it or will it have to be shelved?

Personally, I abhor the name Presley. I think it's a trend that has already fizzled. And with Hadley it sounds too rhyme-y.

I'm really not a fan of Presley. But even if I was I do think it is too matchy with Hadley. What about Harper or Payton. They seem similar in style.

I love the name Hadley! Presley isn't my favorite at all, but I don't think it sounds too similar. Yes, the "LEE" is there at the end of each name, but the sound 'D" sound in Hadley makes it not so "matchy."

i think presley and hadley are good sib names.

that said, i don't like the name presley.

I think they are too similar sounding due to the ending. I'm just not a fan of Presley myself. Hadley was on our compromise list (DH and I have super different taste in names).

Others up for consideration were: Harper, Piper, Tatum and Fallon. I also think Sydney, Eden, Delaney, Emerson, Quinn, Kendall, Sloane and Reagan would make a good sibset.

In the end, go with what you like

Hadley is my daughter's name and I think Presley might be too matchy for a sibset. We are currently considering (but nowhere close to agreement): Morgan, Nora, Paige and Shelby. Our naming styles are very different. My hubby hates old people names and lean more traditional. For us, Hadley was a family name, so a nice compromise.
