Probably stupid double stroller question

I want a double stroller. I have a Graco infant seat that we'll be using for the new LO. Do I need a Graco double stroller? Will any Graco double stroller work for an infant seat and a toddler?

Re: Probably stupid double stroller question

  • You can use a graco stroller, but you are not limited to one.  A lot of strollers have adapters for different car seats, it really depends on what kind of stroller you want.  Graco is pretty popular so a lot of stroller brands offer a graco adapter.

  • No, you don't need to get a Graco stroller unless you want to.

Here is a chart for which strollers are compatible with each infant seat:

While that site is useful, it says the graco snugride is not compatible with the combi twin sport but I use the 2 together just fine. It's a really snug fit.

  • You can get a Graco double if you want, but lots of strollers make attachment pieces to fit Graco, Chicco, and a ton of other infant seat brands.  For example, our Bumbleride has an attachment that fits our Chicco carseat.  It was an extra $20.  The Graco carseat adapter came standard with our Bumbleride.

Yea, when I posted that I looked for a date and couldn't find one.  I'm sure that unless it is updated several times a year that it could become outdated very fast.

OP, if you have a stroller that you are drooling over and it isn't listed on the chart (or says that there is no adapter), double check on the stroller manufacturers website.  Graco is one of the most popular infant seats so most big stroller brands have an adapter :).

  • I am doing the same search right now too!  I have found a few that accept the Graco Sungride (which is what I have).  The Contours Options , Contours Options 2, Contours Optima, anything Graco, City Select, and City Mini Double.  Those are the ones I have found so far, but I'm sure there are more.
