Hi Ladies,
Just a little background info.
My partner and I were trying for just over a year before I went for gene testing and he had his testing done. My partner has cystic fibrosis so we knew the risks of not being able to have a baby naturally.
Anyway after all the tests etc, we finally got to see a fertility nurse, who then referred us for free IVF (NHS gives you 3 free goes if you've been trying for a certain time), this took a little while as we had to do bloods and get my hubby in for an SSR (surgical sperm recovery), then we had to start me on the drugs a few months later. Well after all of that, here I am 12 weeks and 4 days pregnant Sorry if it's too much info on my first post, just thought I would let you know our journey!
Also, I have just had a call from my midwife to say that I have the Anti-LEA antibody in my blood, no problem for me or baby, but would mean extra screening if I needed a blood transfusion, and also regular blood tests for me
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this antibody? I know they say it's nothing to worry about it, but as soon as they tell you there is something different with your blood, you just start to worry!
Thanks in advance xxxxx
