my feet are swollen up so that they barely fit in any shoes. I stand most of the day at my job. If it slows down, I can sit for a bit.
Today was not a slow day. I didnt even have a drink or a chance to breathe until I had been there for 5 hours.
One of my employees suddenly says "I am starting to get sore from standing"
I wanted to slap him. YOU are sore? what do you think I am doing over here? imagine carrying around an extra 20lbs!
But I did not. when he asked for a break, I made him wait til we were a little more caught up (just 10 minutes)

Re: going to slap one of my employees
I'm sure he didn't mean it to be annoying, but I know from our perspective its just like "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?"
even if I wasnt pregnant, I wanted to laugh at him. He is probaby about 21 yrs old and normally only works 5 hour shifts, but one of my full timers is on holiday. This is his 2nd day working 8 hours in a row. You would think he wasbeing treated like a slave.
I wouldnt be surprised if he calls in sick tomorrow.
For the love--I think its just a male thing. DH actually had the guts to say "I don't sleep as soundly anymore because shes up to pee 19 times a night."
I'm sorry I'm waking you sleeping beauty
However, he quickly caught his mistake and was like "I mean I'm sure its worse for you--I'm just saying."
I completely agree that it's a male thing LOL. DH has actually told me that he feels BLOATED!!!! I looked at him and was like "Excuuuse me?" I told him I have no sympathy for him.. sorry.. but I don't.
I probably would've slapped your employee btw haha :-p
