Can I get your opinion?

Hi guys,
I was just wanting to get some other opinions. My twins just turned 4 this week, and I plan on holding them back for Kinder-they are bright, but son has weak fine motor skills, they have some speech (articulation) issues, etc.
My kids are enrolled in the pre-school program through our city. A great program if you get a great teacher. THey are in the 3's Plus program-but they are supposed to be in the 4s/5s class.
Anyway, they "advertise" only 18 children in a class, but the class has reached 24 students-the teacher is in high demand.....She is great, kids are well-behaved, etc. My only concern is they won't receive as much attention...
There are other classes which aren't nearly as full, and one has an excellent teacher, as well. Would you even contemplate switching?
Also, if you were to hold your child back from starting K, would you send them to pre-school 2 or 4 days per week? THANK YOU!!!!!!

If the other teacher is as good, I would consider switching. 24 students is a lot, at any level if you want individual attention. Where I am, your kids wouldn't make the cut off for K anyway, it's 5 by Sept 1. I would consider doing the 4 days, and look to doing 5 next year, or 4 + some special enrichment etc.
Dd1 will be 4 in a month, she will get three years of preschool. Last year she went 2X per week, this year 3x, and next year 4 times. Our preschool is fairly short, 9-11 am which makes a difference.
Personally, I wouldn't put my child in a class with more then 15 kids in it and only one teacher. Try switching them to another class with less kids. See how it goes.
DS1 went to prek 3's last year for 2 days/wk in the afternoons (3 hrs). This year, he's in prek 4's going three days/wk in the afternoons for three hours. His birthday falls after the cut off, so he's actually 5 years old in a 4's class.
Where you are now is where I will be soon. We are in similar boats. I think seeing my son in such a great program which is primarily due to the fact that there are not that many kids in the class and a good teacher. With that in mind if the other teacher is good I would try to switch.
I would talk with the teacher if she likes the younger class or older class for your twins. I could see my twins doing better with the slightly younger class than the slightly older class.
About the speech have you had them tested? Are they getting services? Some cities have speech enriched pre-k programs. This might be a great opportunity for one of these years of pre-k.
