FTM, 2 cm, 70% effaced means????

I know how everyone says numbers don't mean anything....and after getting my internal today, and she said I'm 2 cm and 70% effaced, I told her how a friend of mine walked around for 3 weeks, at 2 cm, and she asked me if it was her first baby, and I said no, and she said that's not usually the case with FTM....

Opinions??? I'm really wondering if I'm going this weekend.......

The OB was really surprised and happy that I was already 2 cm......and told me who was on duty this weekend.....my team players lol!

Are you a FTM? Just wondering.....if I could have the baby before Wednesday then I won't have to put on my Open House for Kindergarten! LOL! I hate people staring at me! lol

Doesn't mean much. With my first son, I DID walk around for three weeks(before his DD) at 3cm dilated. He came four days after his due date.

With DS2, I was at 2cm the week of his due date. He was born on his due date.

I'm due with DS3 and have been dilated at 2cm for two weeks. I'm now at 4cm and LO is due next week. It's just different with each pregnancy.

I'm a FTM, 2cm and 70% on tuesday so here's hoping for some weekend babies. My OB said they would induce next week if I wanted but didn't think I would make it till then. She said she could have broken my water at the appt. Now I'm just getting excited and hopeful. Good luck to you.

FTM here, was 2 cm 60% effaced at my appointment last Friday (37 week) I have another appointment tomorrow and will find out if I have progressed any further. But so far, no labor!

My dr. also said that she doesn't "expect me to make it to my due date" which could still be another 2 weeks.. but I still found it kind of odd.

I'm a FTM. LO is due 9/26. On Saturday I was checked and was 3 cm and 80%. Still don't have a baby..I have another OB appt tomorrow and they will check me again so we will see if I've even done anything, but I don't think so. It really just depends I guess.

Doesnt really mean anything, iv been 3cm 80% and at 0station with this LO for 3weeks now...

and idk about the ftm comment, first babies usually take longer to make an appearance.

I walked around for over a month at 2cm and 50% with DS and he was born 6 days overdue. This time I've been at 3cm since my first internal at 38w. I'm due tomorrow, with no labor in sight. Numbers literally mean nothing until one goes in labor.
