Hi all - anyone have some thoughts on good birthday party venues for a 3 year old? DH does not want to have it at our house, so I need to find somewhere appropriate for a group of 2-5 yr olds and hopefully not too expensive. It's in mid October, so water/pool/summer stuff is out, and I'd like to have it somewhere fairly close to the Alexandria area. I'd love to do something animal related but she's still too young for the zoo parties and such. any ideas?
Re: Birthday party venues for 3 yr old in NoVa?
What about a party at the Reston Zoo or something? Not overly expensive (Gymboree is more expensive) and it's a small zoo, so it's more accessible for young kids.
Or, since it's October, a party at Cox or Ticeronda (sp?) farms?
I was going to suggest these exact places. Also check out Frying Pan Park in Herndon.
Look at the Fairfax County rec centers - Cub Run has a great indoor pool/playground, Lee District Center has a soft play room, Hidden Pond does birthday parties in their little nature museum (party room downstairs) which includes a walk around the pond, Accotink Park or Burke Lake Park have carousels/train rides, and Frying Pan Park has barnyard animal tours. There is always My Gym, Gymboree, Little Gym - or - in Woodbridge you could do Kids In Motion (bouncy castle place - indoors).
Can you tell we've been to a lot of preschool age parties?
