When did you interview Pedi?

I know which one both DH and I really want to use. He is the same Dr that DH used when he was a kid. I am still going to set up the interview and catch his views on certain things (breast vs bottle, ect.) and make sure he accepts my insurance for the first appointment. So when did you meet with yours? How long should I wait? How far along should I be when I go talk to him?

I'm going to interview one the Monday after next. That'll be 33 weeks for me. I'm pretty sure I've settled on her, though, just based on friends' recs.

We interviewed our Pediatrician a few months ago, I think I was 23 weeks. I don't think it really matters how far along you are. I just wanted to get it done and have that checked off my list.

We met with three between 32-35 weeks. We have it narrowed down to two of them, but we are undecided. Figure we have a few more days to figure it out and wouldn't be upset with either one, so we can just write a name down on the day!

we're starting to meet them next week and the following week. We are set up to meet 3 right now and we'll probably meet others unless we are in love with one of the first 3. I would say the sooner you have one set the better just incase baby comes early its nice to have a pedi all set and lined up.

We never interviewed any pedi. We took DS to one and didn't like them, so we found another one and LOVE them. To be honest, I don't think you can really get a feel for a pedi until you are there with your LO. It is good to know their stance on things, though.

I'm going to go tomorrow actually. I only have one to interview so far. He was the #1 recommended by my doctor and I asked around and a few people told me they liked him a lot. I live in a crappy military town and don't know many people so for him to be recommended by like 4 other women is a lot lol. If for some reason I dont like him my doctor gave me a list of others to call.

Definitely do it. I (some how) never even found one with DC#1 and was given one at the hospital. They were awful, I stuck around until I found a new and I LOVE them very much. I wish I did my homework when I was suppose too I would have saved my self a headache.

I've got an interview with a group practice next week, not sure if I'll bother interviewing at other practices or not since I've had this group recommended by so many people! Unfortunately, you only get to speak with one of the doctors in the practice, and I'm sure each doc will have their own take on things. It will be nice to find out about the practice though!

Met with ours this morning. I wouldn't advise procrastinating as long as I did. I was getting nervous that we wouldn't have one lined up in time.

We had a few recommendations, but we ended up just interviewing the one. I did a lot of internet research and got most of the info I needed from the websites, just wanted to meet the finalist in person

It's a 3rd trimester to do, so I guess anytime is good.
