How is everyone today?
I went to the mall in Burlington with my mom last night (Mapleview) and omg they have an Apple store now. I kind of want to live there. It's like a magical land of technology and awesome.
Tonight, I'm off to Limeridge (mall here in Hamilton) w/ our housemate so she can drop off some resumes. And I want a new pair of shoes.
For those that feel they'll have the belly touching pet peeve once KU, check out this shirt: https://146902.spreadshirt.com/us/US/Shop/Index/Index/search/MTY101
Re: Happy Thursday!
The one mall in Kitchener got an Apple Store too I believe.. it pretty much is a magical place! lol I want to own everything.. (iPad 2, specifically) I already have an iMac and an iPhone !
Shoes are good! I need some new ones for Fall/Winter as well, and some warm clothes.
Love that shirt. May have to order one to wear when I'm pg!!
I'm tired today, just looking forward to the weekend (so close!) We have our 2nd and final wedding of the year to go to, including a hotel stay with a king sized bed (YAY!!) plus it's my fertile weekend apparently so what better way to TTC? lol
P.S I can't believe you're 7 weeks already! and it's a blueberry now - so cute!
Holy crap I know!
I love the Apple stores because they're so white and clean lol Oh and the technology is great too!
Raynes - Does Limeridge have a Bath & Body Works in it? I need more hand soap! lol
That t-shirt is awesome! Although I bet people wouldn't take time to read it but the idea is great.
DH has a job interview with the City of Hamilton on Saturday morning. I'm so nervous for him, I could throw up lol If he gets this job it means I can work part time (Less than 15 hours a week) after we have a baby. Hello dream life! We have DH's family reunion on Saturday afternoon after his interview. Sunday we are going to Southworks in Cambridge to start Christmas shopping. I always have my Xmas shopping done by November 30th so we start early.
I love seeing the little Blueberry too Raynes! I brought blueberries for a snack today...kinda weird to think you're baby is the size of my snack! lol

Yes it does! And a Bath & Body Works Home store too.
I know! I sort of don't want to buy any right now, though I didn't have any issues with sweet peas last week.
Good luck to your H!
Wooo! Karrot - good luck to your H!! That would be fantastic!
What is everyone's plans for after maternity leave? What would you LIKE them to be?
haha yeah I could see how it may be weird for you.
Thank you! I can't wait to go shopping at Bath & Body Works. I find it hard to leave there without spending a stupid amount of money.
How are you feeling Raynes?

Well ours vary. If DH stays at the job he has, I'll go back to work full time as I am now once mat leave is up. I might revise my hours so instead of working 8-5 I'll work 9-3. So shorter hours but still full time. If he gets this new job (please God!) then I'll only work part time. I'll work from home for the most part and pop in to the office for a couple hours a week. In a perfect world I'd be a SAHM but financially, that won't ever happen. (Unless Lotto 649 likes me enough) lol

Ohh 649, I would like some of that too!! lol
We always used to joke that I would be back to work within a couple of months and H would be a SAHD because I am not made for staying at home lol I like to work! Right now I think the working plan is for me to take the full year and then come back part-time while I'm finishing my degree (luckily we have both of our mom's to take care of LO while I'm working).. things may change after I actually have a baby and am at home more, I may love it or I may hate it!
649 is the plan! Ha.
I haven't thought much about it, but I'll most likely be going back to work full time. Possibly, once the baby is a bit older I'd work from home part time (if my company wanted to spend the $$$ on a fancy lap top for me), but I guess that's if they need me.
I'm feeling pretty good. No real m/s to report yet. Neither my mom nor my aunt every got sick, so maybe I'll be like them. Though I did feel queasy when putting the leftovers into a container last night after dinner. Mostly I just get tired. One of my friends described it well. It's not so much that you'd tired like you want to sleep, but more so like you just want to sit and do nothing. Sadly, sitting and doing nothing has been my norm. I neeeeeed to get back into exercising. I mean, my gym is in my basement, so it's not like I have many excuses!!
You're lucky that you've been feeling good! My SIL was so sick for the first 4 months she gained hardly any weight. With my luck I'll be the same way!
My Mom had "afternoon sickness". She said every day around 3:00 with both me and my sister she would get sooo sick. I hope that doesn't run in my family lol My sister was sick ALL DAY with her son. Eek! lol
How much exercising are you allowed to do Raynes?

The nurse didn't mention anything about how much I could or couldn't do. I'm pretty active on the Health and Fitness board on TN and the consensus there (and in the most current literature) is that as long as you listen to your body you're fine to continue with the exercise program you had before you got PG.
I've been lifting heavy weights for a while, but had slowed down before we got PG, switching over to more body weight work because I was in fat loss mode, so I think I'm just going to ease my way back in with some basic moves. I'm not a big fan of steady state cardio, but I think I need to get out and at least walk more.
So basically as long as you don't start doing something new that your body isn't used to , you should be fine. Good to know!

I'm Katherine!
I plan on walking a lot during pregnancy, we walk quite a bit anyways with the dog so I want to keep that up! We have a jogging stroller already (my mom bought it for when my brother and niece come to visit) but said we could have it when we have a baby.. so that will be fantastic for walking and if I ever venture to try jogging or running

Pretty much. There are other things (like make sure you're not overheating, stay hydrated, etc) but basically don't aim for any PR's (personal records) or up the intensity and you should be ok. The restrictions on heart rate and amount to lift are just stupid and outdated.
OMG I know! Today is BRUTAL! Get a damn clue!

Keri, you are right on the ball and have the spelling right too. I'm impressed. People usually try to throw in an extra A or an H... never try the simple way. Most people call me Megs... but I'll answer to Megan or Meg
They are brutal. I haven't been on much today tho.. busy at work for once haha.
