TTC after 35

To test is to hope vs I might as well pee on a $10 bill

Sorry for the crude imagery and the rant that follows. I'm about 12 DPO and having the urge to test. I essentially have no chance of being pregnant, but for some insane reason I want to test.

I'm like the anti-Juno I take pg tests again and again hoping for a different result. I'm trying to remind myself that taking a test would be just just like flushing the money down the toliet.

 Rant over.

Pertinent information because I don't Bump enough to figure out tickers and sigs:

Me: 41. DH 44. Dx of hypothyroidism following treatment for Graves' Disease. One DD 16 months.  Working on #2 for six months. We aren't doing IVF because our insurance covers nada for fertility treatments.

  • I love cheapies!!  I started testing at 10 dpo last cycle b/c I started getting sore bbs.  Turns out it was most likely from the natural progesterone cream I was using.  Oh well.  AF arrived on labor day.  Next month will be 6 months of trying for #2 for me too.  I just got CD3 bloodwork done today.  Trying to figure out best time to get my ultrasound now.  Anyway, order the cheapies like Mrs. McIrish said...you'll feel less guilty and your pocketbook will give you hugs.

I felt no guilt with these! I would POAS from ovulation until it was over. This last cycle I've been testing twice a day! I think I have a problem. And they are pretty sensitive too, apparently as good as the FRER and only a fraction of the cost!
