I am having a little bit of brown discharge. It seems to happen in the afternoons. It isn't enough to need a panty liner just when I wipe I see it is a little brown. Any ideas? I have talked to my doctor who said to take it easy and it should be fine and that unless i start bleeding like I am having my period things should be fine, but I am scared it is something more. First pregnancy and everything is freaking me out.
Re: spotting
As long as it's brown and it's not a flow like your period, you're fine. You might want to take it a little easier, tone down the exercise (if you're exercising)
My doc told me I'd probably spot after my annual pap smear, it really freaked me out, so I know what you're feeling!
I had some brown spotting last week, a few days after I pulled a muscle. Since you're fairly early, this could be old implantation blood. Since it's brown, it's definitely old. Are you doing anything in the afternoons that might cause this? Carrying too many bags? going to the gym? At one point I spotted after carrying a gallon of milk, so it can be almost anything.
I'd call your doctor, just in case. I only spotted one day for about 2 hours total and the midwife wanted me to got the ER for an ultrasound anyway. (And it made me feel better when I saw that everything was fine).
I know how hard it is to not worry. I'm on my third pregnancy and recently had spotting and freaked out. I've spotted at different points in every pregnancy-some had causes, others didn't. With this recent scare, the cause was undetermined but an ultra sound showed a strong heartbeat.
Best of luck to you. Try to take it easy and if you are still spotting, ask your dr if he/she will do an early ultra sound for you.
