Hey Ladies!! Wanted to get your thoughts on a girls name Gemma. Do you think it would get mispronounced... or teased by associating it with Germ or something awful like that? Our last name starts with a G, and I LOVE names where the first letter is the same for first/last names... any other ideas otherwise?

Thank you!

Re: Gemma.. or other G names?
I doubt Gemma will get mispronounced. The teasing possibility is there. But that's true of every single name out there. I don't think Gemma will get teased more than anyone else.
Suggestions: Guinevere, Greta, Georgia, Gloria
My friend's daughter Gemma just turned one, I love that name!
Also
Gianna (me), Gioia (our girl name), Giuliana/Giulia, Grace, Gina, Gia, Gloria, Gabriella, Georgia, Georgiana, Graziette (Grah-zee-ette or Gracie-ette)
I've also seen Genae (prn Juh-nay)

I love Gemma and would totally use it if my FIL didn't have dog named Gemma.
He also named his dogs Sally and Jack, so obviously he has a thing for naming dogs people names.
