Supplements During Pregnancy

in Pregnant after IF

Is anyone taking calcium and fish oil supplements during pregnancy?  Did you doctor have an issue with either? 

I took the fish oil prior to pregnancy and I am starting the calcium, but wanted others input.  I am going to call my dr tomorrow and ask b/c I forgot to bring it up during our first consultation.

Any advice would be greatful!!

    the only extra thing I've taken besides my prenatal is an iron pill.  My Dr recently had me start one a day as she said my iron level was low and babies need extra iron toward the end.

    IUI#1 - 05/20/08 = BFP! M/C - 14 weeks :( baby girl
    IUI#2 - 01/07/09 = BFP!!! Twins!! Pre-term labor 20 weeks :( lost twin girls
    IUI#3 - 1/31/10 = BFP!!!! M/C - 8wks :( again
    IVF #1 - 7/2010 = c/p
    FET - 9/2010 = another c/p
    IUI#4 - 2/14/11 = BFP!

    ditto -- prenatal and iron 2x a day.

    TTC since 8/09
    DX: PCO, ENDO, High NK, MTHFR
    8/10 = Lap to remove Endo

    2 Femara TI, 3 Follistim IUI = BFN & 1 c/p
    IVF #1 - BFP - boy/girl Twins!

    I take prenatal, calcium 1000mg and DHA at night. Iron in the morning.

    Unexplained IF
    Clomid cycle 1-3 - BFN IUI 1-3 - BFN 
    IVF 1 - BFP 4/4/11 - It's a boy!
    FET 1 - BFP M/C 6/14
    IVF 2 - 33R/19F 12 PGS resulted in 5 normal embies
    FET 1 scheduled 12/10/14

    I take GNC's "Prenatal Program" which has an extra calcium supplement and an extra DHA supplement and extra iron in the PNV (although I'm still anemic).  Definitely check with your OB but mine said the extra calcium is good because the baby can take calcium from you and the DHA/fish oil is good for brain development.
