Why are children's books so expensive?

Allie wants this book for her play kitchen.

They have it at her school bookfair for $14!  It is $10 at Amazon. It isn't very big.  Not worth it IMO.

    Disney licensing is probably the biggest reason why it's so expensive.

     That's true.  She loves having cookbooks for her kitchen.  If she keeps on, she may have a bigger cookbook library than me.

    When I was in school to be a teacher I hit garage sales during the summer. I have a collection of childrens books that you would think were brand new from several jackpot sales
