This is sort of a TTC over 35/ TTC after loss crossover question. We are TTC after I had a miscarriage about 4 months ago. I'm 42, and lately have been having crazy hormonal swings and even heart palpitations. I have no information on when older women in my family go into menopause (my mom had a hysterectomy). But I'm paranoid that my hormonal craziness is menopausal...although my periods are still very regular. At first I thought maybe it's my hormones regulating after the miscarriage, but then I got the horrible thought that maybe it's early menopause? Anyone else in there 40s ever deal with this horrible thought?
Re: Over 40-ers...menopause?
43... I envy your regular periods.
Having night sweats and mood swings for the past 3 yrs. But don't go 12 months without AF so RE says Intermittant Ovarian Failure.
Good Luck!

I'm waaaaay late in responding to this.
I'm 41 and worry about this all the time, but I wanted to offer an alternate dx possibility ( assuming there is any problem to dx)
When I was around 37 I started having similar symptoms -- palpitations, being hot etc. Even though I was only 37 I thought about perimenopause then It turns out my thyroid was becoming overactive from Grave's Disease.
The bottom line you won't know anything unless you get bloodwork done. Good luck!
