The u/s ended up being a growth scan since I'm having those every month anyway. The growth was normal and the baby is weighing 3 lb. 10 oz. And great news about the fluid - the AFI was 15 today, whereas Fri. it was 25 (which is abnormally high)! Actually, we even caught the baby swallowing on the u/s which is one of the concerns w/ high fluid - that the baby is having trouble w/ that.
I was hooked up for the NST for 50 min. The baby was pretty quiet at first and then his movement picked up and he was really active for a while. When they were ready to take me off the nurse wanted to do an u/s to check fluid levels but I told her I'd just had one, and she let me go. She was really evasive about why she wanted to check fluid and how I did on it...but I'm hoping their letting me go means it was OK?
I have a f/u w/ my Dr. tomorrow so I guess I'll discuss it all w/ her then.

Great news! I wonder if the measurements were just off on your AFI levels Friday, or if they really can go down that dramatically in less than a week. Either way, it's great news that it's normal again!
Maybe the nurse doing your NST didn't realize that you had already had a growth scan and fluid check already. I had to do my NST first then meet with the doctor then had my fluid check... you get kind of shuffled around from person to person there, so they didn't realize that I had already seen the doctor before my u/s... think it just happens, I wouldn't read into it.
Hope you get confirmation of everything being good with your doctor tomorrow!
Yeah I guess I was just confused why she wanted to do a fluid check at all - I asked if that was standard and she said no they wanted to do it "based on what we saw during the NST" - WTH does that mean? But then she told me I was all good and could leave. It was confusing. I'm hoping she wouldn't have let me go if she saw anything concerning.

She probably saw the previous measurement in your chart. You got all good results, be happy with them instead of questioning everything.
Also- 25 is not abnormally high. Normal is up to 25. So that would be high-normal.
