    It did for me.

    ETA: I have a family history of Trisomy 21 and am in my mid-30s.  This may've contributed to them covering it in my case.

    BFP#2 2.5.11 (EDD 10.15.11) DS born 9.28.11

    It did for me due to extensive family history (on both sides) of neural tube defects. However, unless you have a reason and get it approved with a referral, they do not typically cover it.

    Your most reliable source of info would be Tricare.

    That said, Tricare did cover mine, but I was AMA. I believe that if there is a medical reason (Mother's age or family history), they will cover it.

    I would ask Tricare what the restrictions are.  I don't think they approve it for everyone, but call or contact a Tricare representative and ask.

    I called to ask before hand and I was covered, they didnt ask any details but I also have no history and I'm 29.
