Anyone get there thyroid checked when they were feeling symptoms of PPD. I just read in the book "what to expect in the first year" that doctors should check thyroids. I never thought to ask at my 6 wk follow up. I think I will look into it.
I definitely would...I have been dealing with thyroid problems for about 10 years now...and since they adjusted levels during pregnancy, it would make sense to adjust them after also. People don't realize how much the thyroid controls, and how much it affects your everyday life. It's worth checking into, they just take a vial or two of blood and you should get the results back the next day.
I got mine checked once. It turned out normal but I did read that thyroid levels can fluctuate a lot PP, so I suspect they just caught me in a "normal" period.
I got mine checked out. Turns out I was within the normal range, but "high-normal" so my doctor wants me to get it checked yearly to make sure it stays that way ...
