low progesterone

hi everyone!

has anyone had a low progesterone level throughout their pregnancy? what does it mean?

i am 7w5d preg with my first and my progesterone level is consistently around 10 despite using progesterone suppositories three times a day  

my RE said that the US looks good, but that ideally my level would be higher

    Have you talked to your RE about PIO?  Supps are not measurable in b/w.  Sufficient P4 is necessary to maintain a pregnancy, and since my body doesn't make enough, I am on supps again now to help keep my cervix closed.  After a certain point, the placentas will take over, but apparently not enough to keep me from having signs of preterm labor.  I was on PIO until 15 wks, since we did an FET.  GL!

    Me. I had low progesterone & I have a perfectly healthy baby in my belly. If you are taking suppositories, then they won't fully show up in your bloodwork. Most of the progesterone is being directly absorbed by the uterus (Which is where you need it!)
