longest dr appt EVER!

So the office schedules got a bit mixed up. They had be come in at 8:10 to drink for the glucola test. So i drank sat, there for an hour, got blood drawn at 9:10, waited til 10:00 for my a/s, and then didnt see the dr for my actual visit until after 11:00!!! I was there forever!

Results..... well my i got a 137 on my glucola screen so i was over the max by 7, i go back for the 3 hour next week. They gave me the rules for my "diet", yikes!!

The a/s went well. Everything looks great, Raeleigh is still a girl!!! YAY! She is measuring at 1lb 6 oz, and right on schedule!

I only gained 1 lb this month, and the dr was very pleased considering the disgusting amount i packed on last month! He did say from here on out he wants me gaining between 2-4 lbs per month.

  • Awwwww, only 7 points over??  Soooo close!  Hopefully the next one will be perfectly normal and you won't have to worry about it anymore.

What kind of "diet tips" did she give you?  Just out of curiosity?

Congrats on a great Anatomy Scan!  Glad your lil' lady was looking' good!Smile

  • well it wasnt really diet tips. It is what i have to follow for the three days leading up to the testing.

I have to have a rediculous amount of carbs and sugary things. Like 6 servings of bread/rice/ pasta y, 2 servings of deserts, 3 servings of juice, 3 servinces of pop (not diet), 2 servings of milk... and at the bottom of the paper they gave me it says "additional as desired: sugar, jelly, and syrup"

all of that each day for 3 days.. ON TOP of a well balanced meal with meat, veggies, and so on.

Now that sounds like my kind of diet.  Oh no... not TWO servings of deserts... maybe I'll be supportive of you that day and eat-along with you! Wink  Ya know, for the emotional support.  That is a lot of food though, good luck!
