When were you able to take a bath?

It's been 4 weeks since my c-section and I am just dying to take a bath...

Being that my c/s was scheduled due to a breech baby and there was no trauma to my vaginal area I felt comfortable taking a bath at 4 weeks. If you are not sure call your OB.. typical (even with vaginal birth) is 6 weeks

Typical is 6 weeks/after your pp check-up. It's a precaution to avoid infection.

I was told 6 weeks as well, but if you're unsure you should always call your Dr! Maybe they'll give the okay!

I was told I could take a bath once all bleeding stopped!

I was told bathing/swimming was ok at my 2 week checkup!

If I remember correctly, I had to wait for about 3 or 4 weeks after surgery. One week after surgery, I went in to have the dressing removed and a smaller dressing was put on. I was told once that dressing started to come off on it's own, I could get in the tub, but to be gentle around the incision and to carefully pat the area dry.
