Well i was pretty sure we were one and done but this seems to be the nail in the coffin on IF treatments again. We are 100% OOP for IF treatme ts but it was nice that we had insurance for after BFP. Well i found out that my RE recently (within the last year) stopped taking our insurance totally. So if we did manage to come up with the $$ for IVF we would have to come up with more $$ to pay for the maternity care after potential BFP (several thousand dollars for betas, u/s's,etc). If i wasn't sure before, i am sure now. No more bio children for us. While it is sad, i know it is so we can provide the best life for hayden.
Also switching RE's isn't really an option. She is the best and one of two in our state. (gotta love the midwest for IF care)
Re: My RE stopped taking our insurance
that stinks!!!!
Why would she just stop taking insurance?

Not trying to put a bee in your bonnet but...
You could go to your OB for your betas and u/s's instead of your RE.
There is no law stating that you have to use the RE for those services. You can go in for your transfer and then never step foot in their office again.
My OB totally gets my neurosis and happily gives me doubling betas, progesterone scripts if needed and an early (6 week) u/s because of my IF and loss history.
But I understand that it feels like just one more thing stacked against you and for that I'm so very sorry.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
It totally sucks that she stopped taking Coventry. That's who we had when we did our DE IVF cycle - even though the IVF was totally OOP we had to pay for the beta too.
I'm sorry Jess. IF sucks donkey balls. ((hugs))

This happened to us too. It was NO big deal. The IVF cycle covers one beta and one ultrasound and after that I just got my ultrasounds and blood draws at my OB. They worked with me just fine. I wouldn't be worried at all. I know you said you are done but don't let that make you not do more treatments because it can be worked out easy.

I'm so sorry. I HATE that such things get in the way of building families.
If you do decide to go the route suggested above, you'd go to your OB for early help with a smile on your face, I think....you'd be scared, but happy.
Regardless, I do hate it for you. So wrong and unfair, especially in light of your geographic restrictions.
HUGS.
