preemie prefolds

we're expecting twins, how many preemie size prefolds do you think we should stock up on? We have 12 bummis pf now and 5 xsm covers. TIA

    I think they say 24 for a single baby, so probably 4 dozen.  Just a rough guess though. 

    You may want to check with your NICU about CDing, heaven forbid the babies end up there.  Because they may only need newborn sized once home.

    I bought the rearz newborn size prefolds (they say 4-8 lb) and used them for a while, and now use them to stuff pockets, wipe up spit, cover the change pad, etc. They're cheap (12 for the price of 6 larger sized pf), so I'd go for 4 or 5 dozen. You can sell some off when they're out grown if you doubt you'll be having another set of twins. Wink

    thanks! when I google "rearz prefolds" I get oso cosy, is that the same brand you are talking about? I do have some of theirs in larger sizes so far. do you know if amazon sells them? thanks :)

    thats a good point! I'm just guessing they'd be home within a week or so but really, who knows. I'm in my 30th week now. maybe I shouldn't go to nuts with the preemie size, I can always order them to get here super fast once I have them if I know they are coming home fairly soon with me. thanks for the info! :)
