Well that stinks.

We called genetics to let them know about DS's fevers because the paper they sent us home with said one disorder can cause unexplained fevers. We decided just to ask about the genetic test that they sent out.  They had said about 4 months and it's been 3 so we figured just to ask.

She just let us know that the lab is really backed up and it will be at least 6 months.  Yay.

Re: Well that stinks.

  • I wanted to tell you that the other day, but I did not want to be a buzz-kill. The one we did on x-linked intellectual disorders was supposed to be 4 and ended up being 6. Is that the test you guys had done?

    Sorry. :(

Not sure what x-linked "intellectual" disorders is.  We just did the generic x-linked for every single gene.

Here is the one we did. We do not know if DS does in fact have an ID, but this is the route our geneticist chose to go. :)
