New to Doylestown area!

Hi ladies! I posted back in June about looking at the Doylestown area to buy. DH and I bought a house and we moved in two weeks ago. We're in Souderton, and I love the area! So green, so friendly. Now, how do I meet people? Someone recommended another mom's board, but no one is ever on it. I'm a new SAHM, and I need some social opportunities for DD and I badly. DD turns one this weekend. Anyone organizing a local GTG soon? Or, if I organize it, is anyone interested?

 

Oh - and random question but it's been on my mind the whole time we've been here: Why are there so many Broad Streets?

    I'd say try meetup.com.  That's where I found my play group in Syracuse, NY and that is where I will look when I finally move to Lansdale/North Wales-ish area.  They seem to have a lot of groups in SE PA.  Hope that helps.

    This. Try Amazing Moms of Bucks Mont and Young Moms of Bucks Mont. They are both on meetup and have tons of gatherings/play dates.

    Wait until you run into all the township line and county line roads. They mess me all up!

    Welcome to the area! I grew up in Souderton & my mom still lives there. We're about 20mins away in Schwenksville. Lol @ the street names. I think there's only 1 broad st in souderton, but it does pretty much run all the way thru town. I'd be interested in a GTG!
