when does the nausea stop? — The Bump

when does the nausea stop?

I finally bit the bullet and started Zoloft last night. I was awakened at 4:30 AM with the most awful nausea! It was so bad had to get up and get something to eat, but then only got through half a bowl of cereal before feeling like I was going to puke. I never did get back to sleep. Ugh! It's like morning sickness all over again (without a happy reason!). Someone tell me this passes quickly... please!

  • Hey there!

I've been taking 75mg of zoloft since my BFP at the end of March. I take it in the morning with breakfast and have never felt nauseous from it. I would definitely make sure to eat  a meal before taking it.

Also, is there a reason you are taking it at night? I've been told to take soon after you get up in the am...could keep you up at night if you take it too late.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  • The first week was so terrible for me. "Heavy head", exhaustion and super nauseous. I wanted to stop the medication every day.

I stuck with it and by week 2 I was feeling so much better.

I have now been on it for 1 month and I am glad that I started the medication.
