Hello all,
Ive been lurking for a while and decided to test the waters and ask for your input.
Im really looking forward to having a home birth and have decided to rent a tub. Ive enjoyed hearing all the other experiences on here. One thing that I cant stop thinking about is what the heck am I going to/can I wear during labour. I know if Im going to be in a tub, nothing is the only option (haha), but I dont think I will be very comfortable hanging it all out there the rest of the time.
Thia may be weird, but heck, Im new to this.
Thanks!
Re: Newbie and a quick question
For early labour, I just wore regular clothes I didn't care much about. Cheap yoga pants and a t-shirt, with underwear and a bra.
I had a hospital birth, so I kept that on until I got to the hospital and changed to a gown. Fortunately, that's when my water broke and also when I was fully dilated, so then I started pushing. I ended up naked near the end. After he was born, I wrapped up in a sheet and snuggled for an hour or two, then gave him to DH and took a shower to clean up.
Just get some comfy clothes you don't care if you trash.
