Our in-laws have surprised us with a cruise that leaves in December. I'm super excited because I've never been on a cruise, but was wondering about TTC. Should we put it on hold for a little while? I know some cruise lines have rules on pregnancy. Who knows if we would even conceive by then, but I was just wondering what you ladies would do.

Check with the cruise line, but you should be ok even if you get preg this cycle. We're cruising in Jan with Norwegian, and if I got preg this cycle I could still board the ship. Norwegian's rule is you can't be 24 weeks by the END of the cruise.

Thanks! I just checked and it says 25 weeks for Carnival.

I wouldn't put it on hold either. They probably have the restriction because they wouldn't want the risk of a woman going into early labor and being out at sea.
TTC #1 since March 2011
BFP #1: EDD 4/16/13~~blighted ovum w/ 2 gestational sacs~~Loss on 9/18/12 BFP #2: EDD 9/3/13~~Slow HB at 1st U/S~~MMC -Loss on 2/13/13
9/13, 10/13, 1/14: letrozole + trigger + TI = All BFNs
I would not put TTC on hold for that, but that is just me. As pp said, even if you were to get pregnant this cycle you would still be very early on in your pregnancy.
Wow, I'm so glad you posted this. DH and I were thinking about going on a cruise for our 1 year. I didn't realize there were rules. We'd have to put off TTC for quite a while if we did the cruise or we would have paid for it and been ignorant of the rules. We're going to skip the cruise and plan something else instead.
Go and continue to TTC. My family goes on one every year and I looked into the rules and I believe you cannot be more than 6 months pregnant and have to have a dr written consent. You will have fun even if you are pregnant. Just go with it!

Re: what would you do?
I would continue TTC, you never know how long it's going to take.

Wow - didn't know cruises had pregnancy restrictions.
I would still book the cruise but get trip insurance if you end up being too far along.
