Hungry all the time

Anyone else hungry all of the time?  It seems that every 2 hours I feel famished and want to eat large quantities of food.  I also have NO energy to work out like I was pre-pregnancy and so I am packing on the pounds and I'm only 8 weeks along.  I'm really upset by this as I use to be overweight but lost 100lbs after the birth of my son.  I don't want to gain a ton of weight but I can't seem to control my hunger or the food that appeals to me.  Can anyone else understand?  My husband sure doesn't!

  • I'm with you.  My H keeps laughing at me for it.  I ate a bagel on my way to church this morning.  I was so full after I ate it.  10 minutes later it felt like a trap door opened and emptied my stomach... I was STARVING!  It's driving me crazy. lol

  • YES me too, but I am very particular about what it is I want- and I want that and that only! Morning sickness is kicking my butt so a lot of food repulses me. I too just lost the baby weight, so I'm trying to snack on healthy foods, luckily a lot of my cravings are fruit, but it's going to be a long hard road. Just remember we lost the weight once, we can do it again. Don't be too hard on yourself, just try to keep it as healthy as you can GL!!

  • Every woman is different. I eat my 3 meals a day as usual. Some days I have snacks in between and some days I eat more than normal and other days I eat less. I'm dealing with alot of sick stomach feelings right now, so it's hard to eat sometimes.

    My mom said when she was pregnant with me, she ate everything! Her Dr told her she was gaining way to much weight and to cut back, that was 28 years ago. I don't think that has probably changed though, if you're gaining alot of weight, your Dr may tell you to watch what you're eating.

    About weight gain, I don't wanna gain either. But it's for a good cause. Just remember, it takes 9 months to pack it on.....so realistically, take 9 months (or less) to work it back off. It'll be ok.

  • I feel the same way, but instead of eating junk food, I eat fruit and other stuff that is good for me and the baby.

  • Yah, I am hungry a lot and barely worked out from 7 to 9 weeks.  I've been just trying to have frequent small meals or snacks vs. frequent large meals.  Just trying to keep things healthy and make sure I eat some fruits and veggies every day (really more fruit lately, veggies are grossing me out right now).  When I was really feeling bad, I just tried to stay active even if it was at a lower intensity than what I'm used to.  Swimming and walking are good and don't take too long or too much energy.

  • This hit me the other day.  I eat and eat and eat and still feel like I am STARVING.

  • Try to eat small healthy meals throughout the day so you don't end up starved that you want to eat a ton. Make sure your drinking enough water too, you could be thirsty when your body is telling you to eat.

  • I've been starving for weeks!  I'm someone who's underweight so I'm thrilled that I can eat so much and put on some much needed weight.

     DH thinks it's hilarious that I can't stop eating but he doesn't love that there's no longer any leftovers at dinner that he can eat off my plate :)

  • I am going out to pizza right now and its 11am. I had two bowls of oatmeal earlier this morning and now I'm hungry again!

    I am doing the same - trying to keep my kitchen stocked with healthy foods and going for them first. Especially fruits & veggies.

  • Yes I have been super hungry lately...I have to go to the store and restock some healthy choices... I went away for labor day and really need to go to the store because now theres nothing by junk left!

    Literally, word for word this could be me!  I a STARVING all the time, but yet have no energy to work out. I don't even have m/s, so I can't hope that will help keep my appetite at bay or help keep my weight stabilized! I'm afraid my dr. is going to be so mad at me!!
