C-sections

just a question

This is my first post on the board but I have a question... I had a c-section on March 29, so 5 months ago.  occasionally my incision scar will be very sensitive to touch, and almost burn a little bit.  Not super painful just annoying really.  I just wonder if this is normal and how long does it last?

Re: just a question

  • I had pain near my incision for quite a while. Are you on your feet a lot?

  • I wouldn't call it pain, but it's still 'sensitive' sometimes.
  • Sounds like the numbness is going away and the nerves are 'coming back'. Totally normal - it will come in go for a few months, but it does get better!

  • I'm at 9 months and still have a similar feeling.

  • My section scar area is still completely numb. I can't feel when it's being touched. I'd ask your doctor to be safe, but other scars of mine have been sensitive for up to a year, so it is likely normal.
