Hey Hun,
I've learned some things in the past 24 hours that I wanted to share to make you more prepared for your surgery. I hope you don't mind!
- Get your pain medicines filled before hand if possible. I was really glad to be able to take them as soon as I got home.
- Have super baggy clothing to wear home. I had one of my husband's large pajama bottoms and a really baggy tshirt. They were perfect.
- Take something small and cushy to put between you and the seat belt. I have one incision at my belly button and one above my bikini line. I folded up Andy's sweatshirt and it helped make the ride home more comfortable.
- Keep your upper body elevated. There will still be some gas trapped and if you lay flat it seems to push on the diaphragm which shares nerves with the right shoulder and makes it HURT. I found last night that if I laid on my back with at least two big pillows under my head/shoulders I felt much better. Moving around also seems to help.
- My throat is a little irritated from the tube so I'm glad I have some soft foods available. I'm loving easy mac right now!
That's all I have for now, but wanted to share it while I was thinking about it!

Oh Missa! Thank you so much! I am getting nervous although I am over ready for some answers. I never would have thought of #2, 3, and 4!
I hope you are feeling okay - I am glad you have a nice long weekend and hopefully your DH is giving you a pedi (well, we can dream, right?).
When do you have your follow up? I have to wait 2 weeks for the official meeting with my RE although he said he would talk with DH post op to give him an idea of what was going on. I am so ready ready for this train to leave the station. I can be impatient but know it will all be worth it!

My RE took pictures during the operation, then when he discussed it with my husband he labeled the various pictures with what was shown and what was done. So my husband was then able to show me the pictures and let me read. It was pretty well written out and my husband was able to clarify any question I had. I have my post op this coming thursday the 9th. I'll let you know if I come up with any other tricks before then, and I'll update after the post op. Do you have a preop scheduled? I was surprised to get another ultrasound at the preop since I'd had one only about a week earlier.
Ouch, I always prepare and expect the worst as far as the pain goes. They are giving me my prescription on Monday so I can have it pre-filled. I never take any medicine unless I absolutely have to, so thank you for the warning, I will take it before it is too late! It also makes me nauseous
I do have a pre-op on Monday for bw. He did not say anything about an ultrasound, just basic pre-op bw and consultation. He does a dvd of the surgery and will go over everything with Brian and we decided we are going to go ahead and get the video. He knows what I can and can't handle but it would be good to have in case I ever see another dr.
I know I ask for a lot, I just want to know #1 - what is the problem? #2 - can you fix it and #3 - how quickly can we TTC with a positive outcome? I am sure I am driving my RE nuts but I am not interested in the "let's try this first" kind of thing unless he is confident we can conceive that way. I guess there is no sense in worrying until I know what is wrong. Ugh, I am so impatient...
Hope you are feeling better today! Thanks so much keep me updated, it is MUCHO appreciated!! I really thought there would have been more laps with the laides on this board but I haven't heard of many at all, maybe 4 or 5. Do you lurk on the IF board? I read in your TTCAL +6 post about the question of where to be. Once we get moving in the TTC direction again, I may intro myself there too. I love this board and all of the girls on it but I have got the complete ins and outs of TTC now and think there are many things coming at me that I won't have any answers for. Either way I will stay around here too, love these ladies!!

I'm still doing good here! I'm slowly weaning off of the strongest meds. I'm pretty nauseous and have had some acid reflux which hasn't been too fun. I wish I had prepared to have more than just two days worth of food that is easy on the throat and stomach. My abdomen is really sore and tender but I think the other symptoms are the most annoying right now.
I lurk on the IF board and have introduced myself on 3T and 6+. It's a weird situation to be both TTCAL and dealing with IF. There are several of us here, but a lot primarily lurk.
