Good Size 5 Disposable Diapers

Can anyone suggest some good size 5 disposable diapers, especially for overnight?  We normally use Seventh Generation, but they were leaking.  Then we try Pampers Baby Dry which look so dang cute, but they are leaking overnight (husband does not want to buy these anymore-oh well, so much for the Pampers points).  The huggies slip-on--it does not quite work out the way that the commercial looks--our kid just wiggles a lot, and he is all over the place.  The Huggies Snug and Dry--they are a little papery, but I am thinking those are working the best.  It is like my kid got to Size 5 diapers and there is not really a diaper that can hold all of his pee overnight as well.  I am just trying to see what is working for others.

Re: Good Size 5 Disposable Diapers

  • For just overnight we use either Huggies OverNights or Pampers Extra Protection. No leaks. I buy on Amazon and get a case for a good price.  For daytime we use either Huggies Snug Dry or Pampers Cruisers.

  • I like the Costco ones or the Pampers Baby Dry.   Try the Pampers Cruisers maybe?   Or if it's just night time, get the Huggies Overnights.

  • We used huggies overnight diapers, one size up. If DD was a 3, her overnight was a 4.

  • Huggies Overnight one size up from daytime size.  If you actually need 6's try Amazon, they are hard to find locally.

This, exactly.  K is currently in Huggies 4 for day, 5 for Overnights.  She pees a ton overnight and these work.

  • We use Huggies overnight diapers as well and never have any leaks, although we actually use the same size as he wears in the daytime.

  • We've found leakage tends to come and go with all brands of diapers. Depended on how he was sleeping, (tummy vs back vs side) and how much to drink he had.We typically use Costco diapers..either Kirkland Sig or Huggies. Or I like Pampers Cruisers. Baby Dry are my least favorite type...they feel cheap. I LOVE the way the Huggies Pure and Natural feel...you may want to give them a try. Could the diapers be to big? Hence the leak? My 34 pound just turned 2 year old, still wears a 4..I just bought a size 5 this last go around.

This, exactly.  We can put him in a 5 if need be, and they have been okay, but I prefer the 6s.

I think the Kirkland ones run big.   Cooper's been in size 5 Pampers for a few months.

  • DD has been in a size 5 for quite some time. I never could see spending the extra money on special over night diapers. So she wears what ever is cheap, that I've had coupons for. She normally wears huggies snug and dry. At night since she's a heavy wetter generally, we found a diaper booster pad. It is a package of 30 sold at toys r us or babies r us for $3.49. This is the link: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3844600&CAWELAID=436919783

We've found these to be the best, economical solution.
