Nannys and Day Care

Hi ladies,

I am very early in my pregnancy, I will find out just how early in about 2 weeks.  Its never too early to find out about potential sitters for my future bambino.  Can you reccommend any names of ladies near the siegen/bluebonnet area.  I will be a working mom shortly after and I want to feel confident that Baby Sanders will be in good company. Help!

Thanks,

MS

Re: Nannys and Day Care

  • Are you looking for an in-home or a center?  BR Parents magazine puts out a daycare directory that I found very useful. Check there. If you want to look at in-homes also, ask everyone you know for recommendations. In-home sitters rarely advertise and work by word of mouth instead.

    Good luck. And congrats!

  • Hey...I just wanted to recommend Care.com. I recently found out that I am pregnant too (7 weeks at this point), so I can't help anymore, but I am on that site as a care provider. I've gotten to know a few families on there and really enjoyed working for them. I love the site. The providers set up a profile and you create an ad. After creating an ad, you can see the people in your area (by zip code) who fit your needs. Their profiles includes background checks, references, availability, rate of pay, etc. The only thing I can't tell you about it is how much it costs. When I first began with the site, it was brand new, so I didn't pay anything. I know that now they charge, though. It's also a good way to find one-time sitters.
