To make you feel better... Nursery PIP

All of the posts of adorable and COMPLETE nurseries are making me feel like a slug! So, I thought I'd share the current state of Baby Caddy's nursery with you ladies who are in the same boat as me!

I dare anyone to say they are less prepared for baby at this point than I am!

NOTE: I have no idea why the pic is showing up twice - sorry!imageimage" mce_src="image">

  • At least you have the walls done and some furniture in there yet. My house is still empty LOL. Going to paint next week, I'm so excited! So yes, there are some of us out there less ready than you are.

  • I'm going to dare!  I have a receiving blanket and my cradle mattress.  Cradle is at my dad's house still.  He may bring it up here this weekend?   LO is going to get his big brothers room when we get our small garage turned into a room for big brother.  We have not even started.  LO might have to sleep in a dresser drawer at this point!

I think your room looks really cute.  Hopefully after the first of the year my LO will have a cute room!

  • This! We've ordered the furniture but are still waiting for it to arrive, and our walls are covered in different shades of blue because DH and I couldn't agree on a color. It's not a pretty sight haha.

  • I can beat that! We just purchased a home and don't close until October 4th. So at least your LO has a room! :P

  • We have a glider in the corner of our guest room and a rubbermaid bin full of unwashed clothes.  Poor 2nd baby... I think DD's room was ready to go by this point!

  • lol! Believe it or not, Lilly's nursery was just about like this less than 2 weeks ago. (We had her furniture and bedding set up, her nursery decor sitting in a pile on the changing table, and some clothes in her closet... but that was it!).... We had our baby shower last Saturday and it sparked my "nesting" instincts. I finished her ENTIRE nursery in 3 days.... no joke.  (that includes washing EVERYTHING, organizing EVERYTHING, going to wal mart for things we needed that we didn't get and packing our hospital bags!)  I was absolutely exhausted and I'm still recovering!

  • Our walls are painted...and her dresser and changing table are put together (2 seperate pieces)...but other than that, mines a wreck.

    I need to:
-put together the crib (actually H is going to do this this weekend)
-vacumn and clean the carpets (we live in a dusty area....shampooing is a necessity)
-dismantle the desk and store it.
    -clean out her closet
    -build the window cornice

And thats before we start arranging furniture and decorating. We'll get there. I still have 77 days left! haha

  • We still have to patch some walls, paint & refinish floors, THEN we can move on to furnishings and decorations! In the meantime we are also refinishing floors and painting in the living room, our bedroom, and stairwell. I definitely thought we would be done by now....it really sucks waiting on home construction people!

  • I can beat it...  Our home is being framed as we speak!  Roof to go on Monday and windows will be in on Thurs...  Supposed to be finished by Oct 25th...  Yes we are crazy.  My husband owns the company that is building it and swears it will be done by then...  we shall see...  :)  Again, yes, we are crazy!!!

  • You dared me, I will respond.  Stick out tongue  If I were to post a picture today of our nursery you would see an empty room.  My parents came down today with their steam cleaner and we did the rugs.  We wiped down all of the walls and "freshened it up."  The curtains are down and the room has nothing.  Our furniture is getting delivered on Saturday!

  • I am so not ready. We just bought a house when we found out we were pregnant. It is a new community with pre-construction so it won't be ready until Dec. So the baby wont have a room in the house we are currently in. Just a pack n play in our bedroom. We will not even have the furniture b/c we dont want to have to move it twice. I havnt even bought her pack n play bassinet yet and none of her clothes are washed they are all at my moms.
