Over two. We actually transitioned her into her BGB without pillow or blankets. She was probably 26 months or so when she asked (for a pillow first, then a blanket).
L is 22 months and just started sleeping with a stuffed animal that he uses as a pillow.
I think around a year I did. Pillow too. In a vain attempt to get my kids to sleep. Didn't help. But they do still sleep with blankets and pillows now. Ben keeps his on. Cooper doesn't. Sometimes he puts the pillow on top of himself like a blanket.
Around seven or eight months, but he never was a head-puller-over. He doesn't like his head being covered, period. (Sad for me and my love of hats.) We added a pillow shortly before two, and he sleeps better with it.

The thought of your DS using the pillow like a blanket is too cute!

I had to go move it last night when I went to bed in fact! I know it won't suffocate him but I still like it to not be on his head.
At one I gave him his little square lovey blanket. At 2.5 he still sleeps with a sleep sack, but that's because he moves all over the crib and won't keep a blanket on, plus it keeps him from putting his leg up over the crib bars.
I think around 9-10 months. He has really become attached to it in the last month or so though. He also has loved our pillows for a while now so we just got him a toddler pillow last week and he loves it
Just before 2 with DD. It wasn't until she went into her new room with a big girl bed at 22 months that she used either a pillow or blanket. We used sleep sacks up til that point. ( she could climb in and out of her crib starting at 18 monthseven WITH a sleep sack on)
DS likes a pillow and blanket and has had both since last fall, so about 13 months.
Re: Blankets? When did you let your LO use one?

I think just after 1 with both boys, just a baby size blanket.
I think around 11 months maybe?
It was in a desperate attempt to get her to sleep better, as she wakes up if her room gets cold at all.
