I'm thinking about starting to CD but am so new to this and don't know anybody IRL who does it. I'm a little confused by it all. Like, if I bought this:
what exactly is it? Is this the outer part (I don't even know what it's called, but the waterproof part) and the inner, absorbent part? And would you just buy more of the inserts and reuse the blue part?
Also, any suggestions for most like a disposable in terms of ease of use? My husband is not really on board with this because he thinks it will be a lot more work so I want something that is really easy and convenient for him (well, both of us) to use.
Re: Thinking about CD'ing
Ditto the pps. Also check the FAQ at the top of the board. It may help.
Something like the BG is most like a disposable. Especially with the Velcro tabs instead of snaps.
Check out the FAQs at the top of the board. I would also recommend doing a trial (one that comes highly recommended is from Jillian's Drawers) so you can get a sense of how involved CDing is (it's not as involved as it seems) and figure out what style and brand of diapers work for you.
I like this seller on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/U-PICK-AIO-BABY-CLOTH-DIAPER-1-SIZE-FITS-ALL-INSERT-/320571313696?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aa38a0e20
they are cheap, cute, but the shipping takes a long time. My husband loves them. We tried pre-folds with pocket diapers before this and that was difficult to use. This one anyone can use.
