S/O Christmas card trends...

What are you planning on doing for Xmas card photos this year??

I was thinking of trying out some of those fun shots, but I have a feeling that these two rascals are NOT going to sit still even if I sat on them! ;) ?

Oh, and will you be doing just DC or the entire family?

    I've been thinking about this too...last year I did a photo christmas card of his professional pics from christmas, but can't afford that this year.  I guess I'm hoping to maybe have my mom snag a good family photo and go with that.

    I am debating on the lights...or a family photo with matchy pj's...but the 2nd one is a big trend in my extended family so i am not sure about it yet.

    i just have to say that I'm super dooper excited about having a photo card this year...

     

    every year, i hand-write out all the cards...not just sign a name, but full on write it out...handcramps and all...and then get all excited to see the cute little faces on the photocards...and silently feel jealous...

    but this year, i get to do it too!!

    We're going to do a pic of the 3 of us... I'd like a nice one of us anyway, and I always like getting my friends family photos instead of just thier kids.

    School pics are one thing, but I like the family photos better for Christmas cards!

    We're having pictures taken with Kelly and will be using a Donna design for our card!! Not sure if it will be a family photo or just Emily.

    I think we're going to do a family picture... I'll probably make a digital scrapbook layout and upload it to Costco and make the card from there like I did with Jonah's bday invitations.

     We have an appointment with the Picture People in 2 weeks and I'm freaking out. I can't find anything festive and maternity sized yet. :(

    If I don't like the pics, I may have a friend take them or hire someone else... We'll see first.

    Jennifer Skog takes our family pics every year so she's doing them again and we are sending a family picture.  I love Christmas cards with pictures on them.

    I am using a picture Kelly took at D's shoot and making cards with that. I also want to do some fun pics of my own outside and maybe send those to family also.

    We picked up regular cards on clearance after Christmas from Target so we'll be putting a picture inside of the card rather than doing the Costco photo cards.  We'll hace a friend take a bunch of family pics of us and choose one to be printed into wallet size and send them out with the cards.

    Definitely just the little dude for us. I just took his photos but haven't decided on which shot and what kind of card i want. Last year I used a black backdrop so this year i wanted something bright and colorful.

    I'd like to get pro pictures of the 3 of us, kind of a family/maternity photo shoot. Not sure if we can afford it now that DH is out of work though...

    Last year was just Caleb, this year I'd like the 3 of us, and I'm guessing next year will be the 2 boys.

    I just ordered mine today from Shutterfly.  This year I did a photo card with 9 photos on it. 

    • 1 of mysef
    • 1 of DH 
    • 1 of us together.  
    • 1 of youngest SS
    • 1 of oldest SS
    • 1 of them together
    • 1 of my Grey Kitty
    • 1 of my Little Kitty
    • 1 of them together.

    I just used various pictures of us from throughout the year.  I will only use pictures from the current year.

    For the past two years I have included pics of our cats.  I don't care what people think about it.  They are part of our family too.  Everyone knows I love my cats so they shouldn't be surprised to see them included.
