So umm a lady at work just asked me if I was pregnant. I said no she said oh you kind of looked like it. My reply was nope just period bloat.
Really? Is it okay to ask someone if they are pregnant? She pretty much just said I was fat! I'm sure I'm a little more sensitive then others who are not going through IF. But really?
Oh and to mention today is CD 1 too.

People are so rude! I'm a little overweight and the scrubs I wear to work aren't exactly flattering.. I've had a pt or two ask if I was pregnant. I've gotten to the point now where I just smile and say, "Nope. Just fat." And they tend to STFU after that.

That is SO rude! *biitchslaps coworker* If anyone ever asks you that again, don't say anything about period bloat... just smile serenely and say:
"Oh, are my boobs looking especially great today? Or is it the glow? I'm not pregnant, but thanks for asking."
Severe MFI. Me: supposedly all clear but eggs showed vacuoles.
IVF #1 January 2012, ER Jan 14th: 34R, 27M, 23F. Day 3: 18 embies still strong. Day 5: zero "good," one "fair," the rest "poor." Transferred 3. None made it to blast or to freeze. Jan 28: BFN.
Lucky IVF #2: Transferred two beautiful day three embies on St. Patrick's Day. BFP on HPT 7dp3dt. Beta 1 (14dpER)=106; Beta 2 (16dpER)=140; Beta 3 (19dpER)=264! First u/s 4.17.

That kind of comment would have pissed me off regardless of TTC status. It's not okay to ask someone that. And it's not okay to say they look pregnant/fat, especially after they said they're not.
Generally, unless the woman is in active labor, or you see an arm or leg, NEVER ask if someone is pregnant. It's just plain rude. Obviously, if you're meant to know, you'll know. Otherwise, it's pretty much just a nice way of saying "you're looking plump".
Some people just have no filter.

Haha, that's great! I agree with all PP's. That is completely unacceptable. I cannot believe how rude some people can be.
