Is it Groundhog day?

Strange title for a post, huh? Well, I got a phone message from the insurance lady at my RE's office and she said she got the paperwork today from my RE to submit to the insurance co for another IVF cycle. Yay!  Don't know if they are changing my protocol yet. Hopefully the insurance co will approve.  So here's the groundhog day part- my insurance paperwork was submitted last time on the Friday of Fourth of July weekend. Today is the Friday of Labor Day weekend. It took the insurance co 12 days last time to approve due to the long weekend as they are permitted "5 business days" to review. I seem to have a thing with 3 days weekend..Hopefully I don't have repeat of the disastrous first IVF and Groundhog Day stops...

Today is only CD5 and my opk is pretty dark already. Guess I will be O'ing like cd 7 or 8 again. Boo!

TTC #1 since 8/1/10; Me:41 and BRCA1+, DH:46
DOR (FSH 24.3)/ terrible egg quality ; homozygous MTHFR c677t
5 IUI's: 2/11 to 6/11 and 1/12= BFN
OE IVF#1-4 8/11-6/12= all BFN
DE IVF#1 11/12 bad embryos= BFN
DE IVF #2 2/13 BFP/Beta hell: m/c 5w6d
CFNBC 7 months, not doing well; decided on guarantee program at RBA w/frozen DE
DE IVF #3 1/14  ET 4BB; BFP;M/C 5w1d, incomplete m/c; MVA extraction in ER 7w1d

DE FET#1 ET 3/1714; BFP, beta 1 3/27= 197, beta 2 3/31= 1586, beta 3 4/7= 13879!!
First u/s= Twins with HBs at 6w2d! We are Team Pink x 2!!

    Yay for your RE! I hope the insurance company gives it a nod, and quickly. Have a good weekend.

    Dx: DOR and MFI

    DH: low count + very low motility; hormones all normal; Sperm DNA Frag. test = poor to fair; male karyotyping normal
    Me: FSH 13.4 + AMH 0.26 + hypothyroidism; Scratch the hypothyrodism (?); Blood clotting and immune panel all negative; endometrial biopsy normal

    IVF #1 (MDLF - Jul/Aug 2011): BFN (9R, 5M, 3F with ICSI, 3dt of 1 10-cell grade 2, no frosties)
    IVF #2 (EP-antagonist - Sep/Oct 2011): BFN (6R, 4M, 3F w/ ICSI, 3dt of 1 6-cell, 1 7-cell, grade 4s, no frosties)
    DE IVF #1 (shared cycle - June 2012): c/p (6R, 6F w/ICSI, 3dt 1 8-cell grade A- and 1 7-cell grade A-; no frosties)
    DE IVF #2 (shared cycle with new donor - Nov/Dec/ 2012): - BFP!!!!! 12/14/12. U/S on 12/27 shows twins!!!!!

    me (36): Hypothyroid (on Levothroid), low vit. d, borderline/high fsh (day 3: between 7-10) (day 10: 13 during CCCT), AFC: 14
    dh (31): awesome (minus one sample with agglutination)
    Diagnosis:possible DOR and/or unexplained + elevated NK cells + MTHFR (C677T - one copy)

    MAY 2011 - FEB 2012 - 3 injectable IUI's with numerous cancellations due to high TSH levels
    MAY 2012 - onto IVF/ICSI (Antagonist Protocol) on BCP and Folgard (3 week delay - cyst - boooo) 5/21 start stims 5/30 ER 11R 8M 3F 6/2 3DT of 3 6/12 Beta #1 83 | 6/14 Beta #2 196 | 6/21 Beta #3 3818 | 6/28 Beta #4 22,213 | 7/2 1st U/S - 2 on board! 8/24 CVS reveals that we have a boy AND a girl on board!

    Healthy baby boy and girl born in February, 2013 at 38 weeks and 2 days!

    Yay! on the approval.  I thought your WTF wasn't until the middle of September?  I didn't get one until September 26th.  Are they letting you cycle right away or do you need to get AF again?  I'm going for Beta on Monday but still getting negatives so have mostly lost hope.

    I do remember when you submitted for approval prior to 4th of July weekend!!  Funny that you are submitting again at the next 3 day weekend.  LOL.  Here's hoping that this is the last time that you need to submit for insurance approval for IVF and that you have an excellent IVF cycle.  I got cancelled on my first IVF, perfect 8cell embryo without fragmentation on second IVF.  It can happen and I hope that your time is coming quickly.  I read up on all the girls that have come and gone since I've been here-and you've been here longer.  Hope that your turn is comingBig Smile
    TTC since 10/09 Me-43 DH-44 RE and testing 10/10-11/10, Recommending IVF 1/11 New RE AMA and DOR-DH low motility IVF #1.1 cancelled 3/11 due to poor response IVF #1.2 May 2011, one perfect 8-cell embryo, 3dt-BFN, IVF #2.1 Converted to IUI d/t poor response.     I just wanted to wish you luck and hope this next cycle is it for you. BFP all around!
    TTC #1 since 2/10 Me 38 FSH 12.9 & AMH 0.16 DH 47, low sperm count due to meds. 07/11 We have sperm! 28 million, 70% motility, morphology 1% normal. 08/14/11 1st IUI unmedicated BFN. 09/11/11 2nd IUI w/ Femara + trigger BFN 10/14/11 trigger & Final IUI 10/16/11 BFN 10/21/11 Started acupuncture and loving it! 01/21 ET one embryo 6 cell grade C. Beta 02/02. BFN. Taking a much needed break. image

    I just posted to you on If. I am so sorry you are still seeing negatives. WTF? I hate this! I did not have my WTF with re yet. It isn't until 9/13. I knew my case was being reviewed by the dr team on 8/31. I called the ins lady at the hospital and she told me she got the report and instructions to submit for approval for another ivf with AH . Don't have approval from ins co yet but at least the re thinks I should try again and didn't say move to DE yet. How did you get a WTF before beta?? How are you feeling?

    I think that sounds good though.  The fact that the group of doctors approved sounds like a good sign for insurance.

    I just called the nurse line and said my Beta is on September 5th can I make an appointment  now with doctor A.  They said it was fine but to make it for the end of September.  I have no idea why that is.  I am hoping that doesn't mean that I have to wait too long.  It could be because they haven't reviewed my case yet. Have you been trying to avoid since AF after  progesterone?  I think it's ridiculous to think that I could get KU.  However, I don't want to have to wait another month because of that.

    No, not trying to avoid because I thought I had to sit out a full cycle before doing ivf again. Also, I think I am going to O this weekend at a ridiculously early day again. I think it will be too late to start the patch then since my WTF is still 11 days away. Finally, getting only 2 eggs with ivf, 1 natural egg seems almost as likely. My hope of anything working these days is low....
