Hi, Ladies,
I already posted on IFV, but I wanted to get your advice as well.. Thank you in advance.
The doctor called me back and told me the two eggs that weren't matured matured and they are waiting for them to fertilize. I didn't know that that could happen...
But my advice is should we transfer one or two? The reason I ask that is because the doctor wants us to decide. He says that six of the embryos four of them are Grade A or 1 or something which according to them it's good. And the other two are so-so quality. And he says that if I put one back it's only 30% chance of it working and if we put two back it's only 50%. But he said that he will probably put back one Grade A and one so-so just in case it doesn't work, he doesn't want me to use up all my Grade A or best ones.
Also, my sister has high blood pressure and this is one of the concerns as well. My sister spoke to her regular PCP and she told her that as long as my sister follows a specific diet during her pregnancy she should be fine.
I don't know what to do. I originally wanted two babies but at this point, I just want a baby. I can't ask my sister to go through it twice, so I'm sure that I will only get one chance at this. My sister told the doctor that she wants two embryos transferred. What would you do? Thanks ladies.

Thankful for every day
I would transfer 2. I've had 6 transfers now and I did one with just one embie. That was a BFN. All of my 3 pregnancies were the result of transferring 2, and in each case I only ended up with a singleton. And I've always been told that I had rockstar super duper embies. Obviously they just look superduper because only one is ever able to stick.
What KThappy said about twins is true. Lots more risk. But even for me carrying one is risky. You never know what will happen.
Unexplained IF
Clomid cycle 1-3 - BFN IUI 1-3 - BFN
My opinion is IF your sister is willing to transfer 2 knowing the risks of a twin pgcy AND you are ready for two at once AND don't want to put her through this twice then I'd transfer two. Transferring 2 increases the chance for twins but it doesn't guarantee it....
As the pps said this is a decision for you three to make but my experience has been that I only transferred one b/c I was so afraid of the complications of a twin pregnancy. My egg donor was 22 and we had "perfect" 5 day blasts. I think the odds I was given of one working was like 65% and we knew we'd have some to freeze. I also have had previous pregnancies so issues were embryo quality not something immune or with my ute. (not sure what your sister's age/history is) My point is we could be more comfortable with going with one b/c we had alot of things on our side.
But I ended up with twins anyway, Honestly the pregnancy has been easier than my singleton pregnancies - I have no idea why and I've seen lots of twin moms on this board with lots of problems so it's not to be taken lightly but you can have a healthy twin pregnancy.
