Must everyone have an opinion on the height of your bump? Recently about a million people have told me I look like I'm carrying low. One friend even told me I look like I've dropped. Here's a conversation I had in line w/ some woman at McDonald's last weekend (yes, I ate McDonald's, but we were on a road trip):
Her: "You're 7 or 8 months?"
Me: "Yes"
Her: "Well, you're carrying low. That baby isn't going to stay in there for another couple months. Good thing you didn't go into labor during the hurricane."
Me: Jaw hanging open. "Oh...thanks."
Her: "Thanks? How often are you seeing your Dr.?"
Me: "Every couple weeks."
Her: Shakes her head and shoots me a look that says "Wow. At your own risk."
I'm already paranoid enough w/ the baby beating my cervix all day, totally didn't need that!
Also, I keep hearing people talking about the baby kicking their ribs. My neighbor told me it happened her entire pg. Isn't that kind of impossible since your ute doesn't reach your ribs until later in 3rd tri? How soon do the high kicks start? My baby punches/kicks from cervix to a few inches above belly button.

Re: If One More Person Tells Me I'm Carrying Low...
LOL, you eat as much Mickey-D's as you want
My favorite comments are "Wow your due any day now" or "You should be on bedrest"
I think when I feel them in my ribcage it's more of them stretching and pushing on everything so it feels like they are going to bust a rib.
Your doing great ~
Unbelievable!

lots of annnnoooyying people out there! people ask if my baby is ok because it is hard to believe i am almost 8.5 months and "tiny" and if i am sure she isn't a sick baby!
it's hard to ignore but try not to let these people get to you. oh, and eat as much mc donalds as you want =P
TTC since July 2008
IUI 1,2,3 BFN
IVF #1 C/P, FET 1,2,3 BFN
IVF#2 BFP
it's a girl!!
first of all, i've eaten McD's quite a bit in pregnancy. way more than the # of times i've eaten there in the last 10 years combined, lol. so no judging here
ppl need to shut their traps about bump sizes/shapes/locations. they don't know wtf they are talking about. i get SO mad when my SIL does this! i told my H i was going to say something to her next time she says something and i won't be nice.
anyway, don't pay attn to her/anyone else. everyone carries differently, and maybe your boy is just a little on the low side.
if it makes you feel better, both of my babies are head down and i've never felt rib kicks, just kicks high up on my stomach or to my sides.
I would've slapped the nosy woman.
What a rude comment-- from someone I'm betting doesn't have any medial knowledge.
Lady, you keep on truckin'.
I've had rib kicks since the 2nd tri-- but I have two in there and both heads are down and they are kicking right there! I'm sure it all has to do with the position.
The Conception Craze

LOL about eating at McDonald's- don't feel bad, I've eaten their sausage and egg biscuit for breakfast at least once a week since I got pregnant
Sorry that lady was such a know it all- I don't understand why people are like that when it comes to pregnancy and babies...no one asked your opinion, lady!
After 2 1/2 years TTC, 3 IUI's, endo, and a lap, a surprise BFP brought us Alexandra Marie!
People really need to be quiet. This quote is the story of my life. I had a woman yesterday tell me there was no way I was 30 weeks b/c I'm small. She asked if its possible they got the due date wrong. Um...no...I did IVF/FET...I know the exact hour/minute/second my child was conceived and the exact time he was transferred back to me! GRR...
Patchen - Sorry you're dealing with it. I would just write her off as some random crazy lady in McDs!
