Taking DS swimming for the first time

I am so excited to take him! I got him his swim trunks, swim diapers and I have to yet pick up some sunscreen still.

I also picked up a floaty thats for Mom and baby thats really cute!

I'm sure a ton of you have already been swimming, but anything I should expect? I hope he likes it. I want him to be a swimmer since hubby and I love it!

    Does he like bath time? If he does, then he should love swimming. 

    I would just make sure you use lots of sunscreen, bring a hat, and make sure to rinse off the chlorine after you're done. Have fun!

    he LOVES bathtime, hes a big slasher! and omg i didnt even think of a hat, ill pick one up when i get some sunscreen! I've been toying with baby sunglasses but I have a feeling he'll just pull them off his face and try to eat em.

    When I took Hannah swimming the first time I kind of forgot that her swimsuit and towel would be wet so I would reccomend a seperate bag for those things.

    Also, depending on where you are swimming, you may want soap/shampoo to wash/shower afterwards.

    Don't forget swim diapers don't hold pee, so wait til you get there to put them on.

    oh didnt know this thanks for the tip.

     

    Also we will prob bath him when we get home, we are going to the local pool here which is only like 5 min away.

    We used a swim hat. 

    CA Baby, Blue Lizard, and Neutrogena Pure & Free Baby Sunblock are all good choices for sunscreen.
