Re: FFFC!

  • 1- this boy puts up a convincing argument to be an only child. When DH talks about baby #2 in a couple of years, I cringe and change the subject. 2- I know I'm going to be anxious, but I'm actually looking forward to being away for the night for our anniversary. We're staying in a hotel in a nearby town and I'm looking forward to having DH toMyself all night and a grown up dinner with drinks at a restaurant :-)

  • I have a project due for work today and I'm only halfway done with it. I'm secretly willing LO to stay asleep most of today so that I can finish it. I feel guilty, because I love it when he's awake...but I desperately need the time.

  • All the posts about women "dying" to start exercising again make me want to gag. Really? You just had a kid and all you want to do are sit ups? Pssh, all I wanna do is get a shower and nap!

LMAO. Love this! I'm thrilled just to look chunky now. I was noticeably pregnant from 7 weeks on. Not looking pregnant is awesome!

  • This one's a little late, but my first week at home, I survived off of a cake my grandmother made me.

Also, this week- I have been a huge b!tch to DH. I feel really bad about it, and I hate to blame the hormones- when I'm actually sure that it's because he can sleep at the drop of a hat and doesn't know the difference in half & half and actual delicious french vanilla creamer. Which are dumb reasons to be mad.

    sigh.

  • This is super ridiculous, but every day I wake up and make sure my hair and makeup look good in case I should go into labor. I really don't want to go into the hospital looking like a mess, even though I know I will likely come out of labor looking like one.

There's going to be lots of pictures, and I would like to look halfway decent. I also plan on showering, doing my hair and makeup should I go into labor in the middle of the night. I've even made sure my nails look good.

  • Ooh! I thought of another one... I hate it when I'm reading posts (specifically birth stories) and there's 37 million typos in them. I mean how long does it take to re-read your post before you submit? I can understand having a few of them, I mean its going to happen... But it's the excessive ones that annoy me. My all time peeve- Congrates! (con-grates?) it's spelled Congrats! (I'm also feeling pretty b!tchy today, anyone notice?) :)

No flames here! First thing I did when my water broke was straighten my hair and do my makeup. And my first pics with LO are not that bad...

lol... it's not ridiculous! I said the same thing!  When I realized I was in labor it was 3am and I looked a mess...so I jumped into the shower and when I got out I was in really having strong contractions and I couldn't even brush out my hair I was in so much pain!  I tried to do my make up but I only made it to foundation and mascara.  In all of my after labor pics I have a huge wet knot on the top of my head and my make up looked terrible! Hope it works better for you!! :-) oh yea... and DH tried to help pull back my hair after labor, but ended up giving me a side pony tail! lmao.

  • I can count at least eleven times that I woke up last night.

Only three times were because I had to pee.

Once was because I was dreaming that I was giving birth to kittens.

and the other seven times were because I passed gas so loud that I startled myself.

OMG - lol!! Here's to your LO coming soon!

  • I breastfed my daughter today and went to the bathroom at the same time. I had to pee and she was hungry and not letting go! lol

Bahaha! I had a dream I was squirting milk everywhere and my LO was full so I decided to breastfeed my dog instead...WTF!?!!!!!

My confession: I want to punch my step-MIL in the face. She text me today "Well?" I texted her back and said "We won't forget to let you know when she's born, promise." It was the nicest thing I could think to say without being like..."Don't worry you dumb *itch we'll regretfully call you to come up to the hospital after she's born. I secretly hope she's born tomorrow because they are going to the season opening football game and won't be able to come to the hospital until Sunday if she's born! hahaha!

Seriously though, why do people think you've had the baby and just neglected to tell them...how stupid can you be!?!?!?!?

  • my ex just called 5 minutes ago to ask if i've had the baby yet & to ask "what's the hold up, when am i expecting to have her?". i could've told him i was being induced in the morning, instead i just said "no". look sir, just because you've been a super [insert product that summer's eve makes], doesn't mean i'm going to be one and not let you know when your freakin' child is born! but now, just because you doubt me, i'm going to take my sweet time calling after i DO deliver.

grrrr i wish i could egg his house or something.

  • I feel fantastic all.the.time now that I'm not pregnant and can't wait for my tubal in 3 weeks.  I'm happy with my one perfect little girl.

I sleep 100X better now this child on the outside then I have in months.  I'm EBF'ing and even though DD will take a bottle no issue, I honestly don't have an problem waking up at night so I let my DH sleep.

Also, I cringe and feel bad at every post that talks about colic'y, fussy, never sleeping babies...  Sad  I hit the "good baby" jackpot and feel so sorry for you mama's...

    THIS!

I have absolutely no desire to exercise, chasing around my toddler is exercise enough isn't it? I'd like some time to shower, brush my teeth, nap, and get a bite to eat! Exercise is the absolute last thing on my list. I've got 2 kids to take care of, a house to keep running, a husband I'd like to spend some time with, friends I haven't seen in a while, and I still have to take care of my own basic needs.

  • I have this urge to sleep with my LO, and I make my husband tell me I'll roll over on her all the time so I won't do it.  I'm normally a light sleeper, but I'm just so fvcking tired that I don't trust myself to even catnap with her while he watches.

I also ran out of caffeinated coffee today, and I may send my husband to the store for it.  I'm just too tired to get out of the house.

  • The neighbor kid is over and I needed to pump but DD wouldn't let me lay her down.  I don't trust neighbor kid (she just turned 10) enough to let her hold DD without me right there, so I pumped right in front of her.
  • My DH is starting to piss me off.

I'm the only one who gets up during the night to change/feed/get the baby back to sleep. He will get up and make her a bottle for me, then he lays back down. I'm averaging about 4-5 hours of sleep per 24 hours and he's getting about 8-9 hours.

I'm the only one cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the baby at any given time. I went to take a nap this morning and the baby was screaming her head off and DH just didn't know what to do. I got back up and we exchanged some words. Normally we get along great, but the fact that I'm running on empty and he's complaining that he isn't getting enough sleep and that the baby is stressing him out is sending me over the edge.

I'm starting to believe that he is not equipped to take care of a baby. Yes, DH will prepare a bottle when asked and get me things I need, but I can't even take a nap and trust him to be able to handle her while I'm sleeping. I can only get in a nap if she is napping- after I have changed her and fed her so DH can just watch over her while she sleeps.

Sorry for the rant. We all got in a nap earlier and baby is sleeping now while I do laundry, so things are better than this morning.
