NBR: Remembering 9/11

I've recorded a few of the NatGeo programs and I'm watching them while I'm supposed to be working... after watching some last night.

I have a really broad mix of emotions. Most of all, I'm mad but proud. I've known how awful the terorists are, but this is the first time that I have watched so many accounts of survivors... and I'm amazed at how many good samaritans there were.

I can't believe it's been 10 years. It's amazing to me that I still have a gut-wrenching reaction when I watch the footage of the crashes, collapse, etc.

Not much more to say - just needed to share with someone.

PG#1 - 3rd cycle BFP. Team Green. HELLP syndrome @ 34 weeks.
Later diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, possible link to HELLP.

PG#2 M/C 3/14 - Surprise BFP 2/13. Beta's doubled every 52 hours from 3w5d-5w5d
Viable pregnancy scan at 5w5d; 2nd u/s showed 2 days of growth in 7 but a HB of 120
3rd u/s on 3/10/14 had no HB and baby had only grown 7 days over 14
D&C 3/17/14 - complications - DX Retroflexed uterus, multiple tears to cervix

    Since you're an Aggie, I'm assuming you watched the one where they interviewed GWB?  

    While I'm not a fan of his, I really enjoyed the interview, and hearing his account of the day. It was very eye-opening, everything you have to do, and are responsible for as the President.

    I've been watching those shows on NGC as well. If you are interested there is a list of all the shows about 9/11 on TV.

    I thought it was done very tastefully. It wasn't too different than reading his account in his book. I have my opinions about his presidency as a whole, but this is one area that I really am proud of how he handled.

    I know it was ten years ago but it's still very raw for me. The footage is very difficult to watch. Same goes for the London bombings. I was back home in England when it happened and it took me back to 9/11 and the days after. Just a really, really horrible and dark time :(

    I think the thing that really wrenches me is the people jumping from the towers. I am so very sorry that those people had to make that decision. I can't imagine the suffering.
