I think DD is starting with her separation anxiety phase. She's also starting to talk.
She said ma ma for the first time today where it actually seemed like she understood what she was saying (she's been babbling it for a few weeks). Unfortunately she said it to our nanny! She also prefers our nanny right now when she can pick between me or the nanny.
Rationally, I know this is just a phase. And I also know that it's good that she's attached to our nanny. But it still makes me feel a bit like this .
Re: Big Sad Face
there is a stage where every woman is mama and every man is dada. Y'day DD didn't want to leave DC and was having a fit, the Director tried to tell me how happy I should be about it; I am glad she loves DC but jeez, give a Mommy some love here!
Kids are also fickle. For example, when I went to pick up M from daycare yesterday, the other kids were getting ready to go out on the playground. He squirmed out of my arms and made a beeline for the door to get to the playground. It took him a while to decide that he was ready to go home with me. I'm trying to take it as a good sign that he has fun at daycare and not as a snub.
