Today in the life of Preggo

Today at 19wks 1 day I feel like I should've stayed in bed.  I FEEL pregnant - not just baby girls kicks- but tired, headache, whiney, achey, allergies... Anyone else?

 

Need a pick me up, bad!  Any suggestions?  I think I need some vitamin C to pep me up!

  • I am definitely tired and whiney today.  Plus I am having some serious cravings too.  I want chocolate milk, alfredo pasta, some good thin crust cheese pizza, and a luna bar.  I am trying to convince DH that we need to go to a local Italian restuarant for dinner tonight.

  • In the same boat here.  I've been feeling "off" the last couple days... I'm hoping the long weekend will get rid of that!

  • So apparently I've lost track of Baby Avery's progress... I'm 21 weeks and 1 day.. WOW so another symptom of this icky day - preggo brain!

     

    I have been wanting Olive garden (salad and breadsticks) like CRAZY!!!  I can def relate to the italian food :) Also, chocolate has come into my life!  I've never had a real taste for chocolate until now... i scarfed down one of those individually wrapped chocolate pies on the way home from the grocery store yesterday... ha... its about a 3 min drive :)

  • Never had chocolate?  Can't compute...I think the idea of that is frying my brain.  Go forth and enjoy as much as you can to make up for it.  Personally I would start with some good dark chocolate.  Mmmm....  I had the soup salad and breadsticks at Olive Garden a few weeks ago and I think I ate my weight in the breadsticks and salad.  I was totally going for the soup, but could barely finish a bowl by the time it arrived.

  • LOL I've HAD chocolate, just not #1 on my yummy things to eat list - I prefer vanilla or fruity sweets :) 

     

    LOL my DHs grandma makes homemade fried pies about every other sunday after lunch - they have been my TRUE craving :)

  • I had one of those days yesterday. I pampered myself a little in the evening. Took a hot shower, made some sugar free hot coco, burned my favorite fall candle scents and watched Project Runway. Just those little things made me feel so much better!

  • I woke up the same way today, I feel really bitchy today to be honest.  Like everything irks me, I have almost gone off on my boss 3 times.  Hoping a good lunch and some downtime might help me be in a better place after lunch.  But Italian does sound sooo good!!!

    Oh ok.  I still don't understand that.  I mean in theory I like fruity and vanilla stuff, but when it comes down to it I always end up going for the chocolate over the fruit or vanilla.  Actually I can't even stomach straight vanilla since getting pregnant.

    I think a warm bath and pandora are in order for tonight :)  Maybe even some cookies :)  Ohh and polish my toenails- although i may need help!

  • I've definitely had days where I've felt whiney, grumpy, and just blah.  Heck, I've had plenty of those days in a row.  I've been feeling good the past few days (maybe a week or so?) and so I definitely think it comes in spells. 

    Do something nice for yourself--get some good magazines, go get a pedicure, or go treat yourself to something that you wouldn't ordinarily treat yourself to. 

    Also, for what it's worth, I've found those Breathe Right strips (while not the most attractive) work really well at helping me breathe.  I've been pretty congested and those definitely help at night.
