Activities with your baby

So, I have the day off tomorrow - first time since returning from maternity leave.  I want to do something "fun" with DS, but don't know what to do.  I was thinking of checking out a local splash pad since it will be so hot.   Do of you have any suggestions?  I'm in the Schaumburg area.

    The splash pad in Roselle on Roselle Rd is nice, or there's one inStreamwood or Elk Grove by the library. I haven't been to either of those. Schaumburgs Farmers Market is on Fridays it's near the library. If your lo is mobile you could do a mall play area if it's getting to warm out. Cosley Zoo in Wheaton is nice and has several animals that you can get close to. Hope you find something fun to do! I may hit the Roselle splash pad later today, haven't decided yet.     i'd actually stay OUT of the heat when it's that hot and humid and go to Woodfield or IKEA (love me some IKEA).

    I went to Ikea this afternoon with my BIL, it was a freaking madhouse! Oh my gosh, the hords of people, everywhere! I know its always crowded but 1:30 on a Friday, I think everybody started their weekend early!  But I do love me some Ikea as well!
