I also had an unplanned c-section with my DS. After going through a 24 hour induction, he wasn't tolerating labor well, and his heart rate kept plummeting, so c-section it was! Come to find out his cord was wrapped around his neck. I had a great surgery and recovery though, which I am grateful for because I know many women that did not. We are TTC again now, and I'm planning a VBAC for my next one, but we'll see what happens!

I am also glad this board is here. I like you had an unplanned emergency c-section with my daughter just over a year ago. Things were going well I reached 10 cm quickly and pushed for nearly two hours before she went in to distress and I was told she needed to get out NOW. I had a horrible experience with the surgery ended up with breathing problems after due to G/A. Because we were team green I did not know what I had till 4 hours after surgery and my entire family had already held her. Needless to say I struggled for a long time.
We are now trying for number 2, I am hoping to VBAC at least that is where my heart is now. I have a strong fear of the situation with DD happening all over again which is why I am leaning towards having a repeat c-section. We will see.... I test in about two weeks.

Your story pinkmoonlight sounds just like mine, only DS didn't have the cord wrapped around his neck. He was just in stress.
